BORNN enamelware was founded in 2015 by sisters Basak Onay and Oyku Thurston. Drawing inspiration from their global travels to Tokyo, Barcelona, and Los Angeles, they created BORNN enamelware. Combining traditional techniques with contemporary designs, each piece is handcrafted by master artisans in Istanbul, Turkey. Sisters Basak and Oyku seek to empower their community by keeping these traditions and skills alive while developing new ways for artisans to use their years of gained knowledge.
